  its been a little over 2 years since i left the watchtower.

  in that time the magazines have been cut, the birth of jwtv, jw-org.

  carts for preaching, removed district overseers, cut assemblies, demand all the money from the congregations, stop construction and layoff bethelites, change the format of the tmschool .

  Why would they want to build their ivory tower anywhere near land that used heavy metals and likely contaminants in the area. You would think they would want that lavish centre on pristine land, far away from any known polluted are.

  I remember reading somewhere on these boards, but someone posted that the site or area was used for some kind of metal processing. That being said I imagine all kinds of solvents, phenols in the ground and ground water in that area. But that does present the question, what kind of hairbrain(s) would develop such an extravagant facility on land they did not test or knew about contamination then proceeded to build there anyway.

  They could never sell that property now without an extensive environmental clean-up. The fact that they know or willful blindness, so to speak, are now liable for the property. Or the EPA will somehow get involved, if they can indeed prove the property is contaminated.

  Is Watchtower beginning to buckle

  is wt beginning to buckle under the weight of everything that is happening?

  heavy criticism from the media and the plethora of websites and youtube videos popping up; and now the obvious issues with finances clearly evident.

  the pressure for change must be immense and therefore necessary!

  Totally doubt it will buckle anytime soon. The Borg is very clever at changing things, ie meetings, videos and guilt/fear tactics. Plus, like someone mentioned elsewhere on these boards, the Borg is entirely TAX FREE, an enormous monitory saving. Just can't see the Borg buckling.

  a thought on the emphasis of the importance of the new chairman arrangement at the midweek meeting:.

  it reminds me of a tv-show, where the showmaster introduces tv-clips of some topics.. is it maybe a preparation for meetings with more and more videos ?.

  and all the local brothers are doing is introducing them, creating anticipation for what big skydaddy prepared this week.. i wonder, if most of the meeting times in years to come will be videos anyway.....
